Brian’s work has been published in The New York Times, The Guardian, National Geographic, and Harper’s. He’s received numerous fellowships, including a Guggenheim. He was featured in the documentary Operation Homecoming: Writing the Wartime Experience, nominated for an Academy Award.

Sara Pirkle Hughes reads select poems from her book, The Disappearing Act, Neil Olmstead and Ana Guigui perform new songs inspired by Hughes's poetry.
