FUSION Magazine is proud to announce the winners of its 2016 Student Fiction Contest. First prize was awarded to “The Umbrellas,” by Emmanuel Choi, a stunning tale of protest and resilience in Hong Kong. Second prize was awarded to the psychologically harrowing “Skin Deep,” by Claire Marie Lim, and third prize was awarded to a quietly moving story of friendship, “Curiosity,” by Martín Puga.

Winning students were awarded gift cards of $100 (First Prize), $75 (Second Prize), and $50 (Third Prize)
