Kamala

Jack Markwordt

The trees protect me
Mama natures sweet embrace
The wind will guide me
The willow will hide me
As I vanish without a trace

Follow the sunlight and sprinkles of dew
Soon you will become a flower too
Out from the willow
Laughter with the trees
Look at how you’ve nurtured me!

With you there are no thoughts of doom
I’ve finally sprouted and soon I will bloom
Reaching towards the sky
Basking in the light
I stop and rest during the night

The quiet soothes me
Mama natures sweet embrace
The grass pets me
The rain wets me
As I sing to the moon with grace
