Art poem

Joanna Katzen is a recent graduate of Berklee College of Music.  During the course of her studies, she took writing classes in which she discovered nonsense poetry, a form made famous by Lewis Carroll, among others.  As she describes it, “nonsense poetry balances a multiplicity of meaning with a simultaneous absence of meaning*, yet due to the use of meter as well as other formal elements, nonsense poetry gives the impression of coherent language. Various levels of meaning can be gleaned from or attributed to any nonsense piece, ‘from none to much.’”
