Alien Discovers Coat Rack pays tribute to classic noir by concentrating on an unnamed private investigator and his obsessive quest to find the killer of an estranged love interest. The name of the film derives from its completely unexpected, stochastic ending involving a humorous visitation from a curious alien.

Dan Whitebread is a Boston based musician and aspiring filmmaker hailing from Chagrin Falls, Ohio. In the Spring of 2011 Dan graduated from Berklee College of Music where he studied film scoring and has since been busy making short films with his friends. Dan draws inspiration from the Coen Brothers, David Lynch, Terry Gilliam, Alfred Hitchcock, and other greats in the world of cinema.
